It appears that a compromise on the prescription drug monitoring program legislation is in the works. Last session, the Conservative Caucus including Senator Cindy O’Laughlin, helped prevent the bill’s passage. This session, a proposal has cleared committee in the Senate and can be scheduled for debate on the floor.

The Shelbina lawmaker outlines how the compromise would work.

Senator O’Laughlin hopes to make some progress on the proposal and finish putting it together within the next few weeks.
