During its monthly meeting, the Sturgeon School Board discussed plans for a solar project on the roof of the new agricultural building. Sturgeon Superintendent Geoff Neill says a green energy element had been considered for this building project for some time.

Neill adds the solar project will provide the district with significant energy savings.

The solar project is expected to be ready for use with the building at the start of the upcoming school year. The Sturgeon School Board also moved forward on plans to add a storm shelter to the building.
