The city of Moberly is beginning to put together plans for a new fire station to replace the current Moberly Fire Station 2. City Manager Brian Crane says a recently completed survey will guide the city.
The new location moves fire services away from the northern portion of Moberly. Crane says the survey covered this issue.
Along with the new station, plans are in place to remodel Moberly Fire Station 1. ARPA grants will help cover a portion of the cost. Crane says they’re looking at other funding options as well.
Design plans for the new station and remodel are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
