Pedestrian Dies From Injuries in Centralia Hit and Run

The woman seriously injured in a hit and run in Centralia Tuesday night has died from her injuries. The State Highway Patrol reports an SUV driven by 36-year-old Amy Rievley of Glasgow was eastbound on Lakeview Street around 7:15 and struck 74-year-old Sharon Uebinger of Centralia, who was walking south of the roadway. Uebinger was taken to Columbia, where she was pronounced dead around 1 Wednesday afternoon. Rievley fled the scene and was later pulled over on Highway 124 by a Howard County Sheriff’s Deputy. The State Highway Patrol says she was arrested for driving while intoxicated, leaving the scene of an accident, careless and imprudent driving, and an unrelated counterfeiting charge.
