Parts of Western Missouri Emerge From Abnormal Dryness

Several counties in Western Missouri exited abnormally dry conditions in the past week.  The weekly US Drought Monitor update shows an end to pre-drought conditions in Camden, Dade, Dallas, Hickory, Jasper and Polk counties, along with improvements for Barton, Benton, Cedar, Henry, Morgan, Saint Clair, and Vernon counties.  No additional changes were reported for this week, leaving 36.2 percent of Missouri in a significant level of dryness.  Again, no parts of the state have fallen into moderate or more serious drought.
