Paris Graduate Hancock Reflects on Linn’s Baseball Run

Paris High School graduate Briar Hancock recently guided the Linn Wildcats to a second place finish in Class 3 baseball. Hancock, who played football at Quincy University and graduated in 2020, just completed his first year teaching and coaching. Before making the run to the state finals, his Wildcats lost three straight games to close the regular season. Hancock credited his seniors for helping turn things around in the postseason.

Hancock says after winning their district, the teams confidence was high.

The Wildcats finished 16-10. There was one thing Hancock learned in his first year as a coach.

Hancock recently announced he is moving to Thayer to become an assistant football and baseball coach.
