Palmyra Erases Early Deficit For Road Win at Monroe City
The Palmyra Panthers scored nine runs in the 4th and seven runs in the 5th to take down the Monroe City Panthers 17-6 Thursday night.
Monroe City jumped out to a 4-1 lead after three innings. Palmyra began its big 4th inning by loading the bases. Senior Ethan Tallman stepped into the box and triggered the offensive avalanche.
Steven Findley Jr with the call on 104.7 KRES and centralmoinfo.com. Tallman added another 2 RBI hit in the 5th to give him four total for the game. Starting pitcher Colby Cook delivered a complete game performance, unofficially striking out eight Monroe City batters. Coach Brandon Crisp praised Cook for his complete game effort.
Palmyra bounces back from a loss to move to 3-8. Crisp liked the response from his young team.
