One Dead in Saline County Accident

A Lee’s Summit man was killed and another one suffered moderate injuries in an accident on westbound I-70 at Highway 65 around 6:30 Thursday night. The State Highway Patrol says 79-year-old Dale Montgomery died from injuries suffered when the pickup he was driving slid off the right side of the road, hit the guardrail, and overturned onto the passenger side. A passenger, 73-year-old Thomas Mumm, had moderate injuries and was taken to Columbia.
