OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING IN PETTIS COUNTY

Detectives with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of an officer-involved shooting Tuesday night in the northwest part of the county. Deputies were called to a disturbance at a residence, and were reportedly fired on upon arrival. Officers returned fire and struck the resident, who died from sustained injuries. Sheriff Kevin Bond has requested the assistance of the Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, who were also on-scene, as was the Pettis County Coroner.
