Offense Lifts Tigers Over Cardinals, Macon Earns Clarence Cannon Conference Title

The Macon Tigers used big bats and stifling defense to shutdown the South Shelby Cardinals en route to a 10-1 victory and a Clarence Cannon regular season title. Senior third baseman Gage Lewis played a role in the Tiger’s big win.

Steven Findley Jr with the calls on Glory 97.3 and centralmoinfo.com. Trey Hatcher also hit a two-run homer in the contest for the Tigers. Six different Macon batters contributed a hit in the contest. Coach Travis Mundahl was pleased to see the offense rolling.

Zaiden Wood drove in the lone run for the Cardinals on the day. Coach Jacob Rich said his team has to look forward rather than behind after a tough loss.

Macon finishes the season undefeated in conference play. Mundahl spoke about claiming the CCC crown.

With the loss South Shelby’s six-game winning streak comes to an end. Macon improves to 14-2 on the season.
