O’FALLON MAN INJURED IN ACCIDENT WITH DRUNK DRIVER

An O’Fallon man suffered moderate injuries in a two-vehicle accident in Ralls County Sunday. The State Highway Patrol reports that around 2:25pm, 21-year-old Ryan Reynolds of Vandalia failed to stop his car at a stop sign at the junction of Highway 154 and Highway F, three miles north of Vandalia, and struck a pickup driven by 48-year-old Donald Layton. Layton was taken to Hannibal. Reynolds had minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene. Reynolds was also charged with driving while intoxicated, assault in the second degree, and failure to stop at a stop sign. He was taken to the Marion County Jail and placed on a 24-hour hold.
