10/28 Salisbury at St. Elizabeth Softball
Salisbury’s Brooke Stefankiewicz went 4-4 with two singles, a double, and a solo home run to finish with 3 RBIs in Salisbury’s 7-0 quarterfinal victory over St. Elizabeth.
10/26 Lafayette County at Marceline Softball
Marceline’s Savanna Kelly went 2 for 3 with two walks, and three runs scored, including the go-ahead two-run home run in the fifth inning to propel the Tigers to a 15-8 win over Lafayette County. The victory also punched Marceline’s ticket to the Class 2 state softball championships in Springfield for the first time in program history.
10/25 Mexico at Moberly
Moberly senior Jared Herron recorded his first career touchdown on Senior Night with a 24 yard catch halfway through the third quarter. Herron leads Moberly in solo tackles and played a key role defensively in their 35-23 victory over Mexico.
10/25 Palmyra at Monroe City
Monroe City Antwaun Battle had 14 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns. He also added two catches for 38 yards and a touchdown in Monroe City’s 40-22 win over rival Palmyra.
10/25 Macon at Centralia
Centralia quarterback John Durant ran the ball 19 times for 174 yards and a touchdown in Centralia’s 21-7 victory over Macon to help clinch an unbeaten regular season for the Panthers.
10/23 Community R-6 at Salisbury Softball
Salisbury’s Bryn Wooldridge led the Lady Panthers by going 3-4 at the plate with a home run, two singles, a walk and 4 RBIs. She also pitched all six innings while striking out six and allowing just two hits in Salisbury’s 10-0 win.
10/23 Palmyra at Monroe City Softball
Palmyra’s Cameron O’Brien went 1-3 with a walk, 2 RBIs, and a run scored in Palmyra’s 7-1 victory over Monroe City.
10/18 Moberly at Kirksville
Moberly’s Dominic Stoneking forced a fumble in a stifling defensive effort from the Moberly secondary. He also carried the ball nine times for 82 yards and a touchdown in Moberly’s 14-12 victory. In addition, Jacob Aleshire rushed for 36 yards on four carries in Moberly’s victory. The senior saw the most extensive action of his career after Aleshire entered the contest with three carries this season.
10/18 Marceline at Westran
Marceline’s Cullen Bruner ran the ball 21 times for 201 yards and three touchdowns in Marceline’s 36-0 win over Westran.
10/18 Hallsville at Boonville
Hallsville backup quarterback Cooper Crane stepped in for the injured Jake Ashburn and delivered a victory for the Indians. He ran the ball 24 times for 193 yards and two touchdowns. He also went 3-4 passing for 30 yards in Hallsville’s 27-14 win.
10/18 Pattonsburg at North Shelby
North Shelby senior Dayton Mettes and sophomore Cale Stoneburner took home co-player of the game honors in the highest-scoring high school football game in Missouri history. Mettes was 13-19 passing for 126 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 24 times for 251 yards and four touchdowns. Stoneburner had a highlight reel reception resulting in a key touchdown for the Raiders. He also recorded eight tackles and three interceptions in North Shelby’s 92-88 win.
10/15 Hannibal at Moberly Boys Soccer
Moberly’s Joshua Price scored two goals including the game winner with 22 seconds left to give Moberly a 2-1 victory.
10/11 Hannibal at Moberly
Hannibal junior Damien French ran for 232 yards and three touchdowns in their 31-17 victory over Moberly. Meanwhile, Moberly’s Toby Short had a career day with 7 receptions for 136 yards and a touchdown in the defeat.
10/11 Harrisburg at Fayette
Fayette freshman D.J. Moore rushed for 103 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown in Fayette’s 45-6 win over Harrisburg.
10/11 Brookfield at Macon
Macon’s Blake Claas went 13-16 passing for 178 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also carried the ball nine times for 73 yards and a touchdown and also recovered a Brookfield fumble late in the 4th quarter in Macon’s 36-22 victory.
10/9 Moberly at Westran Softball
Moberly pitcher Lauren Koenig got the win in the circle going the full seven innings, allowing just three hits, no earned runs, and just three hits in Moberly’s 7-3 win. Koenig also struck out 6 batters and walked none in the victory.
10/4 Moberly at Marshall
Moberly’s Jarrett Kinder led a stout defensive effort for the Spartans with 6 tackles, 2.5 sacks, and 3 tackles for loss. Kinder also rushed for 109 yards and 13 carries in Moberly’s 13-10 win.
10/4 Mexico at Centralia
Centralia sophomore Beau Gordon saw his first snaps of the season in Centralia’s 13-10 win over Mexico. Gordon came up large with 16 carries good for 76 yards and a touchdown. He also player a vital role on defense in the win as Centralia improves to 6-0 on the season.
10/4 South Shelby at Monroe City
Keenan Batsell became Homecoming King, while rushing for 248 yards and 3 touchdowns on 28 carries in Monroe City’s 38-12 victory over South Shelby.
