North Shelby Feels Like Home For New 8-Man Football Coach

Last week, the North Shelby School District hired David Stuckey as its new head 8-Man Football Coach. Stuckey was recently Macon’s defensive coordinator. The Trenton native says heading to North Shelby feels like home.

Despite having head coaching stops at Mountain Grove, Grandview, Santa Fe, Pierce City, and Bishop LeBlond, this is Stuckey’s first head coaching job in the 8-Man ranks. Stuckey says there will be some adjustments he’ll have to make.

With seven of eight starters returning on both sides of the ball from the state quarterfinal team, Stuckey shared how he plans to balance continuing to build on the Raiders success and making his mark.

Stuckey replaces Seth Bass, who started and coached North Shelby’s 8-Man Football team the last five years.
