The NJCAA Board of Regents will vote on its latest COVID-19 response proposal tomorrow (Mon.) afternoon that would have a major impact on the schedules for most sports, including men’s and women’s basketball, for the upcoming school year. If approved, basketball practice would not start until January 11th, with the season starting January 29th. The regular season, with a maximum of 22 games instead of the usual 30, would end March 27th. The national tournaments would begin April 19th. It would mean an even bigger change for football, with practice starting March 1st, with games starting March 25th, and the championship on June 3rd. Volleyball, wrestling, track and swimming would all resume practice on January 4th.
