The Schuyler County School District selected high school principal Kyle Windy to lead the boys basketball program last month. Windy led the Rams boys basketball team for 13 years until he stepped down in 2010 to take the principal job. Windy’s focus for building the high school team, which went 9-65 the last three years, is to start with the younger programs in place.

Windy coached some of the Rams’ junior high programs over the past few years, and he says there’s a lot of talent on the way.

Windy outlines what the current team will look like this fall.

In Windy’s final season as head coach in 2010, he guided the Rams to a 27-2 record and their latest district title. You can hear more from new Schuyler County boys basketball coach Kyle Windy on the Chariton Valley Magic City Sports Talk page under the sports tab.
