New Look For New Franklin Softball

The New Franklin softball team will have to fill a number of openings if it wants to duplicate the success of last year’s 20-8 squad, which won the program’s second straight district title. Coach Sam Crowley says her team lost six seniors who contributed.

She says there’s enough flexibility among newcomers that defense shouldn’t be an issue, but instead finding enough offense might be a struggle. Crowley expects senior Sophia Held will lead the offense.

The season starts with the tournament at Boonville August 26th.
