New Franklin Schools Looking to Switch Academic Criteria

The New Franklin School District is looking to change its academic criteria when it comes to naming a valedictorian and salutatorian. Superintendent Brian Cordel says the debate was sparked in part due to increased enrollment of Launch Students.

Launch is the platform of New Franklin’s virtual instruction. Centralmoinfo.com asked Cordel if New Franklin has considered a Magma Cum Laude system.

The board hopes to make a decision on future academic criteria in June.
