Progress is continuing to be made on the Milan C-II School District’s building project. The new cafeteria was recently completed and students have begun eating meals there. Milan Superintendent Dr. Ben Yocom explains how they’re handling student meals during the pandemic.

Due to weather issues, the completion date for the building project has been pushed back by over a month, to December 22nd. Portions of the project still needing to be completed are the new high school gym. Yocom says he expects they will be able to begin using the gym shortly after the project is completed.

During the October Milan School Board meeting, the board also approved a pair of change orders for the project involving asphalt for the district’s parking lot and an adjustment to a gas line.
