Nesbitt was Stunned by the GLVC Moving Football to 2nd Semester

Gregg Nesbitt’s 11th season leading the Truman State football team onto the gridiron is delayed. On Monday, the Great Lakes Valley Conference Council of Presidents announced the majority of the fall athletic season is postponed until second semester. Coach Nesbitt said he was stunned by the decision….

Nesbitt said his first thoughts turned to his fifth year seniors that will graduate in December…..

One of those fifth year seniors is Reed McBroom from Brookfield. Once spring arrives, some of his players will be two years removed from competing in a game. Coach Nesbitt used this analogy to describe the challenge in keeping them engaged…..

Nesbitt said the delay will help the incoming freshmen….
