NCAA PLAYOFF HOPES ON THE LINE WHEN TRUMAN VISITS UINDY

Top 25 opponents will meet in what amounts to a playoff elimination game when 23rd ranked Truman visits number 17 Indianapolis on Saturday. Both teams let Lindenwood stop their perfect season. The 8-1 Bulldogs lost to the Lions in the final seconds in week six. Last week, 7-1 UIndy gave up 531 passing yards in a 34-27 loss at St. Charles. ‘Dogs coach Gregg Nesbitt says they can’t throw for 500 to beat the Greyhounds….

The Greyhounds already had the 2018 GLVC Offensive Player of the Year returning in running back Al McKeller. Just before the season, the Greyhounds added SBU transfer and 2016 GLVC Offensive Player of the Year in quarterback T.J. Edwards. Nesbitt says he makes defending the UIndy offense tougher…..

The winner stays alive for a conference title as well, but needs a Lindenwood loss in one of its final two games. The Greyhounds haven’t loss consecutive games since September of 2016.
