NAIA Postpones Most Fall Sports Championships

The NAIA Council of Presidents (COP) voted Tuesday to postpone most fall national championships to spring 2021. The sports impacted are cross country, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball. COP members are set to make a decision on the timing of the football national championship at a meeting this Friday. The status of regular season play in the fall is up to each conference’s discretion. Prior to the vote, 51 individual institutions had already opted to postpone fall competition to the spring.
