NAIA Announces Three Softball All-Americans

The NAIA announced that CMU junior outfielder Kelena Oota has been named to the All-America Second Team, and CMU freshman pitcher Jordyn Ball and Columbia College pitcher Ella Schouten were name Honorable Mention. It’s the second time in Schouten’s career.

Oots hit .381, stole 24 bases, and drew 16 walks.

Ball finished the year with a 19-3 overall record through 25 appearances, including 20 complete games. She had a perfect game against Peru State April 22nd. In 147 innings, she had 175 strikeouts and a 1.48 ERA.

Schouten was named to the Honorable Mention team for the second time in her career after going 18-7, including 6-2 record in the postseason. In 162 innings pitched, she had 247 strikeouts and a 0.95 ERA.
