Multiple Injuries in a Boone County Route 124 Accident

Seven people were injured including two seriously in a one-vehicle accident on route 124 in Boone County Friday night. The State Highway Patrol reports 33-year old Ian Gallup of Columbia lost control of the SUV he was driving and it travelled off route 124 just west of the YY junction and overturned. Gallup and 31-year old Ayla Cain both sustained serious injuries. Five juveniles received minor injuires. All were taken to a Columbia hospital for treatment. The accident occured at 6:25 and closed that section of route 124 for a couple hours.
