MSHSAA has released its guidelines for high school teams for the fall season. Schools must have in-seat classes to be able to field teams, with the organization saying if it’s not safe to be in school for classes, it’s not appropriate to bring students together for practice and competitions. Each school must have one individual coordinate screening of athletes and coaches, and masks must be worn prior to and after strenuous activity. Social distancing should be followed when travelling to away events, and overnight trips are discouraged. Schools are also encouraged to stream events to lower crowd sizes. MSHSAA will sponsor regular season and postseason contests if schools are able to particpate. MSHSAA does not plan moving any sport’s season to a different part of the year.
