MSHP Urges Motorists to Use Caution

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is urging motorists to keep a close eye on the weather situation and the ever-changing road conditions throughout the weekend. Sergeant Eric Brown says the storm system moving through will impact a large area, and conditions will vary greatly depending on your location.

Law enforcement is expected to be extremely busy throughout the duration of the winter storm.

A wintry mix was reported in north central Missouri by the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, before 10 Friday morning.  A number of schools north of the Kirksville area, have also decided to dismiss early.
