Moberly Regional Medical Center has been recognized by the Missouri Time Critical Diagnosis System as a Level 3 Stroke Center, in recognition of the hospital’s commitment to the highest standards in the country for stroke care. Level 3 centers play an important role in providing access to time critical care. Stroke is the nation’s fourth leading cause of death. Each year, about 795 thousand people experience a new or recurrent stroke. That’s one every 40 seconds. CEO Brent Parsons say MRMC is committed to making the stroke care program the best it can be, and this means working with physicians for ongoing improvements in quality and clinical practices, and investing in the latest tools, techniques and innovations. Parsons adds that the staff who are involved in the stroke process have specialized stroke education and training, and when the people who live and work in Moberly and the surrounding areas think about superior stroke intervention, he wants them to think of MRMC.
