Bids are still being accepted for Monroe City’s aeration project for the city’s water supply. Monroe City Mayor Jerry Potterfield says the project came to fruition following a study.

Aeration is the process of increasing or maintaining the oxygen saturation of water. Potterfield says some parts of the project are to be determined.

Bids for the project should be finalized by early July. The project should take between two and four months.
