Monroe City Producer Marks National Pork Month As NPPC President

This year’s National Pork Month celebration is different for Monroe City pork producer Scott Hays, who is currently in his term as president of the National Pork Producers Council. Hays tells Regional Radio he’s honored to have the opportunity to represent America’s 66,000 pork producers.

Hays is a fifth-generation farmer, and he says three of his children are also involved.

Scott Hays’ duties as president of the National Pork Producers Council recently included a trip to The Netherlands to represent the U.S. at the International Meat Congress.
