Monroe City Drops To Third

Despite beating Palmyra to go to 5-0, Monroe City dropped one slot from second to third in Class 1 in this week’s high school football poll. Mid-Buchanan picked up a first-place vote to jump over the Panthers for second, 82 to 81 points. Harrisburg remains seventh, and Marceline is getting votes. In Class 2, Hallsville climbs one spot to third, and Bowling Green remains tenth. Boonville is sixth and Blair Oaks seventh in Class 3, while Mexico dropped two slots to tenth. Hannibal remains fourth in Class 4. Jason Ambroson’s Smithville Warriors are the number one team in Class 4. Helias climbs in Class 5 from a tie from ninth into a tie for 8th. Curtis Jasper’s Joplin Eagles are ranked 3rd in Class 6.
