An assistant football and girls basketball coach at Monroe City High School is dead following an accident in Marion County around 7 Saturday night. The State Highway Patrol says 42-year-old Jamar White, a resident of Palmyra, was driving on Highway 61 two miles south of Palmyra. When he changed lanes, his pickup went off the left side of the southbound lanes and overturned. It ejected two passengers and landed on its top. White was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, 35-year-old Michelle White of Palmyra was seriously injured, and 43-year-old Carrie Haskins of Palmyra had moderate injuries. They were taken to Hannibal.
