Monroe City and Centralia Battle For Share of First

A share of first place in the Clarence Cannon Conference is on the line Friday night in Centralia when Monroe City visits. Both teams are 4-0, 2-0 in conference play, and are tied with Macon. Monroe City, ranked Number One in Class 1, is coming off a 46-8 win over South Shelby. Coach David Kirby says Centralia continues to improve.

Centralia, ranked sixth in Class 2, is coming off a 42-8 win over Brookfield. Coach Tyler Forsee says Monroe City is tough.

Forsee will be relying on the offensive and defensive lines. He says he wouldn’t be surprised if it’s low-scoring.

Kirby says the game may come down to the trenches.

J.B. Connoley will have the broadcast on Glory 97.3 and centralmoinfo.com.
