Monroe Boys and Macon Girls Head to Blue Springs For Class 3 Quarterfinals

A pair of Clarence Cannon Conference teams travel to Blue Springs for the Class 3 quarterfinals Saturday on Glory 97.

The Monroe City boys meet 23-6 Central of Kansas City in the second contest. Coach Brock Edris enters his first state quarterfinal after a fourth straight district championship.

27-2 Monroe City topped Richmond in sectionals Wednesday. Central of Kansas City and its first-year head coach Robin Lucas, Jr. outlasted University Academy Charter 80-72.

Macon’s girls face 22-5 Maryville in the first game. Tigerettes head coach Richard Driscoll evaluates the Lady Spoofhounds.
