MoFB Pres. Hawkins: Plans For Energy Independence Lacking In SOTU

Last week’s State of the Union address was sparse on mentions for agriculture, but that didn’t mean farm leaders had tuned out the speech.  Missouri Farm Bureau president Garrett Hawkins says he was hoping to hear more details about how the White House would combat rising energy prices, specifically through increased domestic production.

Hawkins says that farmers can provide solutions to the problem.
