Former Macon Man Receives 25-year Sentence in Rape Case

Last December, it took an Adair County jury 14 minutes to return a guilty verdict in a rape case involving a 42-year-old former Macon man that dates back about nine years. After several delays because of the coronavirus, Robert Moentmann received a 25-year sentence Tuesday. Macon County Prosecuting Attorney Josh Meisner says Moentmann will not be getting out of prison for a long time, as this follows a previous conviction.

Meisner says this investigation began in Macon County in 2011.

The case was moved to Adair County from Macon County.
