MoDOT Budget Early Focus for House Budget Committee

MoDOT’s budget for fiscal year 2021 has been a primary focus for the Missouri House Budget Committee early in the 2020 legislative session. MoDOT is currently experiencing a 13 percent annual turnover rate. Ranking Minority Member of the House Budget Committee Kip Kendrick says there is a need to address this turnover rate.
Kendrick is hopeful they will be able to secure some additional funding for MoDOT before the end of the session.
Kendrick has filed House Bill 1433 which would provide additional funding for MoDOT by increasing the state’s fuel tax by two cents.
