Moberly Visits Boonville for Nonconference Clash

Moberly will step out of NCMC play Thursday night when they travel to Boonville for a varsity basketball doubleheader. The Lady Spartans enter the contest riding a four-game winning streak. Moberly snapped a 13-game losing streak to the Lady Pirates last season. The boy’s game features two teams trying to find some consistency. The Spartans are coming off a 52-41 loss to Hannibal.. Coach Brett Boyer says they have to be able to crack the code of opposing defenses.

After opening with three straight wins, the Pirates are attempting to snap a three-game losing streak. Their most recent defeat came in a 62-44 setback to state-ranked Fulton on Tuesday night. Coach Mark Anderson says his team is learning on the fly.
