A Moberly man was involved in an accident on I-70 in near the St. Louis airport that sent three people to the hospital. The State Highway Patrol says 57-year-old John Rhodes was driving a semi westbound around 2:40 Thursday afternoon when he tried to change lanes to avoid a merging vehicle. He struck the side of an SUV driven by 83-year-old Woodrow Williams of St. Louis, and then a car driven by 23-Richard Ables of Lake St. Louis hit the SUV in the rear. Williams and a passenger, 36-year-old Keyone Martin of St. Louis, both had moderate injuries and Ables had minor injuries. Rhodes was not hurt.
