Moberly Sweeps Mineral Area
In front of a packed Fitzsimmons-John Arena Wednesday night, the MACC basketball teams swept Mineral Area, with the women winning 73-58, and the men dismantling Mineral Area 81-50. McKenna Eddings led the Lady Hounds with 21.
Keiori Lee added 17 and K.K. Adams had 12. Coach Hana Haden said having a balanced attack was important.
The 18th-ranked Lady Hounds are now 21-2, and 8-1 in Region 16. Mineral Area falls to 15-8, and 5-3 in the region.
The men had jumped out to a 36-26 halftime lead before putting the game away in the second half.
