Moberly Superintendent Dr. Matt Miller tendered his resignation Tuesday night. Miller has accepted the same position at the Kearney School District and will begin his duties July 1st.

Miller became Moberly’s superintendent July 2016. Board president Bobby Riley said Miller has played an integral part in the district’s growth of staff and students.

Miller also oversaw the $10 million Proposition S Project which helped improve the school’s safety and security. Miller says that in four short years, Moberly has become home, and making this decision was a difficult one.

Riley says the board will discuss the search for a new superintendent during a meeting later this week.

Miller’s final day will be June 30th, 2020 and the school board has scheduled a meeting Thursday to discuss searching for his replacement.
