MOBERLY SOCCER SEEKS CONFERENCE WIN AGAINST HANNIBAL
October 14, 2019 7:00PM CDT
The Moberly Spartans boys soccer team is looking to finish the 2019 season strong. So far the Spartans have notched just two wins on the season, both coming in conference play. They’ll look to grab win number three tonight when they host NCMC conference rival Hannibal. Moberly head coach Ben Hays says the team needs to keep their heads up heading into the stretch run.
Hannibal defeated Moberly earlier in the season 6-3 in a game played at Hannibal. The Pirates were led that game by Nathan DeStefane who tallied three goals and two assists in Hannibal’s victory. Hays says stopping DeStefane will be paramount to the team’s success tonight.
On the offensive side of the ball the Spartans will look to Joshua Price and Charez Nichols to provide most of the scoring. The forward pair are the top two goalscorers on the team this season.. Hays says they form a dynamic duo up top for the Spartans.
Colin Schowe will have the call for Tuesday night’s game with pregame coverage coming your way at approximately 5:50 pm on KWIX FM 92.5 and AM 1230, as well as online at centralmoinfo.com
