Moberly Sixers Off to Strong Start for 2023 American Legion Season

Heading into Thursday night’s doubleheader at Green City, the Moberly Sixers American Legion baseball team has compiled an 8-2 record. The team features players from both Moberly and the surrounding area. Coach Drew Hunt says he has a strong core of players this season.

Hunt highlights some of his key players.

Cairo, Westran and North Shelby also have players on the roster. Hunt says pitching has been the primary strength for the team’s strong start.

The Sixers will participate in multiple tournaments before the regular season concludes in early July. That includes a lengthy trip planned to Cape Girardeau.

Prior to that road trip, the Sixers will host a doubleheader tomorrow night against Marceline. First pitch is scheduled for 6:00 at Omar Bradley Field.
