Moberly Sex Offender Faces New Charges

A convicted sex offender from Moberly is being held on a half million dollars bond on new charges of statutory rape, statutory sodomy, and child molestation. Court documents accuse 40-year-old David Aaron Hart of sexual contact with several different children in Moberly and Huntsville between 2010 and 2012. He is also accused of showing at least one of the children pornographic material, and forcing a woman to perform a sex act on a child at gunpoint. Hart had previously been convicted of deviate sexual assault for a case from 2000. He will be arraigned on Monday.
