Moberly School District Hires Cristina Wright as New Superintendent

The Moberly School District has announced Cristina Wright as its new superintendent. Wright was selected following a search process facilitated by the Missouri School Boards Association. Wright is a native of the Gladstone area in western Missouri. She has multi-generational ties to Moberly through her maternal grandfather, William Wescott. She started her career as an English teacher in the North Kansas City School District. She then served as a principal at a private school in Jefferson City before taking the same role at St. Elizabeth. She most recently served as the Licking School District’s superintendent. The Moberly School Board will host a meet and greet with Wright on Thursday, February 23rd at 4 pm in the Moberly High School library. All staff and community members are invited to attend.
