The Moberly Public Schools Foundation announced this year’s Distinguished Educators and Alumni Recipients. The educators are Wendy Carter, who graduated from Moberly and spent 26 of her 33 years in teaching language arts in Moberly; and Jonean Ratliff, who taught vocal music in the school district for 30 years, and still teaches at MACC, and also served on the Moberly School Board. The alumni are the late Charles J. Fleming from the Class of 1964, who had been a school board president and member of the Randolph County Health Board; and Jeffrey Lawrence from the Class of 1989, who now owns L&J Development, and has also been a school board president. President of the Moberly Public School Foundation, Mike Skubic, explains the process of selecting the award recipients.

The Moberly Public Schools Foundation usually receives up to ten nominations a year for the awards. The awards will be presented Friday night at the Homecoming football game.
