Moberly Police Arrest Sex Offender Operating Railroad Days Ride

A registered sex offender has been charged with being present near a park, playground, pool or museum for operating a Railroad Days carnival ride for 3- to 7-year-olds Wednesday night. Moberly Police arrested 55-year-old Victor Allen Jacobs of Moberly. An officer who was assigned to foot patrol at Railroad Days recognized him through previous contacts and knew he was a registered sex offender. The officer conducted records checks and confirmed this was a violation of the man’s restrictions as it pertains to sex offender compliance. He was taken into custody and taken to the Randolph County Justice Center.
