The Moberly Masonic Lodge will be hosting its annual Soup and Chili Dinner, Saturday from 11am to 2:30pm at the lodge. For eight dollars, attendees will receive their choice of chili or soup, cornbread, dessert, and a drink. Member of the Moberly Masonic Lodge, Jack Davison, says funds from the dinner will serve two different purposes.

Children under six will be able to eat for free and carryouts will be available by calling 660-651-4258. Over the years, organizers have tried several different chili recipes, but in recent years they have settled on one that attendees have really enjoyed. Davison says the dinner brings in some large crowds.

This year’s dinner was originally scheduled for November 2nd. The date was changed to this Saturday to coincide with the opening of Missouri’s fall firearms deer season.
