A 32-year old Moberly man is back behind bars following an incident Saturday night. At around 10:45 a Moberly police officer saw a man he knew to be 32-year old Israel Lockett of Moberly. Lockett had an existing Randolph County warrant for his arrest for failure to appear on original charges of attempting to disarm a police officer and assault of a police officer. When officers attempted to make contact with Lockett he attempted to flee on foot. Officers grabbed Lockett but he continued to resist. He was then forced to the ground where he still continued to fight with officers until they were able to place him under arrest. Lockett was arrested for his existing warrant and now faces a new charge of felony resisting arrest. He is currently being held in the Randolph County Justice Center.
