Moberly Man Arrested After Fleeing Casey’s

A Moberly man with outstanding warrants was arrested after he fled the Casey’s on South Morley around 3:45 Saturday morning when he saw a Moberly Police officer. The department says 29-year-old Arthur Houts fled to a home in the 400 block of Monroe, and barricaded himself in an upstairs closet. About 30 minutes later, officers went into the home and arrested him. He faces a new charge of felony resisting arrest, in addition to previous charges of unlawful possession, sale, or transfer of an illegal weapon and second degree burglary.
