Moberly Girls Play First State Quarterfinal Opposite Top-Ranked Vashon

The Moberly Lady Spartans will face number one state-ranked Vashon in the Class 4 quarterfinals Saturday at Lindenwood in St. Charles. Coach Tony Vestal says the 24-5 Lady Wolverines present numerous problems.
Vashon has four 1,000-point scorers on the team. Chantrel Clayton averages 16 points per game while Raychel Jones and JaNyla Bush each average 15.
The Lady Spartans are 22-7 and have won 14 straight. They limited Visitation Academy to 12 percent shooting beyond the arc in the sectional win.
