In the first meeting, freshman Courtland Simmons stepped in for injured Fulton quarterback Woodrow Foster and gashed the Spartan defense for 274 yards rushing and four touchdowns and tossed an 84-yard TD pass. Coach McDowell says his defense will be more prepared for Simmons….

Barrow and the Hornets are 3-6. The Spartans are 6-3 and finished 2nd in the NCMC at 3-2. This is the second straight year the two teams meet to open district play. Moberly won last year’s game 48-7.
